Meet Ben
Somatic psychotherapist, musician, and educator, Benjamin Hall serves individuals, families, groups, schools, and non-profit organizations in Los Angeles through a trauma-responsive approach exploring how music, movement, and creative expression can be cultivated as resources for resiliency, care, and deepened awareness, empathy, and connection with our bodies, emotions, our environment, and one another.
Ben studied music and dance at UCLA and earned a master’s degree in psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute, publishing his thesis Embodied Sound and Movement: The Soul, Science, and Containment of Music and Emotion in Psychotherapy, which integrates research in neuroscience, expressive arts therapies, and depth psychology on the use of music and movement in ritual healing practice. Ben is trained in attachment-focused EMDR and the Trauma Resource Institute’s Community Resiliency Model (CRM), and is a member of the International Somatic Movement Educators and Therapists Association (ISMETA).
